Join us at Jablon Studios on Monday, May 26th at 6:00 PM for a peaceful and creative evening making glass fused cross suncatchers. This special workshop is open to all ages and is especially great for kids! You’ll get to design your own beautiful cross using vibrant sheet glass, stringers, powders, marbles, and other handmade glass accessories. We will teach you every step of the way! Choose between a small 6-inch cross for $30 or a large 12-inch cross for $75. If you'd like your small cross to have a custom-colored base, that option is available for just $5 extra and please not what color you want in the comments section when you sign up. Each piece can be made as a suncatcher to hang in a window, but participants also have the option to create a standing or wall-mounted piece instead. The class will last about two hours and includes all tools and materials. Registration is required by May 20th so we can pre-fire the base crosses in the kiln ahead of time. This step ensures you'll be able to jump right into designing and decorating when you arrive. Whether you’re new to glass art or a returning creator, this is a fun and meaningful project to make for yourself or as a thoughtful handmade gift. Once the class is over, we will fire them in our kin and kiln and string them for you. We need 2 weeks to get them ready for you and then they will be available for pick up at our studio! Please note: There are no refunds for this class. However, if you’re unable to attend, your credit can be transferred to a future class or event.
