Fall-Inspired Glass Fused Suncatcher or Glass Panel Workshop 📍 Broome County Council of Churches, 3 Otseningo St, Binghamton, NY 13903 🗓 Monday, September 8 at 6:00 PM Support the FIAV Dining for Dollars program while creating a beautiful glass art piece! In this special fundraiser workshop, you’ll have two project options: A 2 ¾" x 5 ¾" glass fused suncatcher with a hook embedded in the glass for hanging A glass panel in a 3" wooden stand—perfect as a tabletop art display We’ll bring a stunning selection of fall-inspired glass colors—yellows, oranges, reds, browns, and greens—so you can design a warm, autumn-themed piece. Or, if you’d like, you can explore your own color palette—creativity is encouraged! ✨ What You’ll Learn & Use: How to cut and shape glass How to work with glass stringers (straight and wavy/curly, handmade in our studio) Designing with glass powders and frits from our massive selection of colors Adding handmade glass lace, murrini, and glass dots for detail and texture Creating a layered, professional-quality fused glass design Once your project is complete, we’ll take it back to our studio for kiln firing. Finished pieces will be ready in about 3 weeks. You can pick up your artwork at Jablon Studios in Vestal or at the Broome County Council of Churches in Binghamton, Mon-Thurs 9-3. We’ll email participants when their projects are ready. No experience is needed—this class is beginner-friendly and great for kids, too. Come make art, learn something new, and support a fantastic cause!
