Glass Fused Wind Chime Workshop & Fundraiser 📍 J. Ralph Ingalls Building, 14 Nanticoke Rd, Maine, NY 13802 🗓 Sunday, August 31 at 5:00 PM Join us for a special Glass Fused Wind Chime Workshop at the historic J. Ralph Ingalls Building! This event is also a fundraiser to support the building, so your participation directly helps preserve this community space. In this workshop, each student will design and create a stunning glass fused wind chime. Your wind chime will feature: A 5x7" glass top Five glass chimes (1 ¼" x 4" tall), double-stacked for durability and strength You’ll get to decide your chime layout—whether straight across, staggered, V-shaped, reversed V, or diagonal—making your piece truly unique. ✨ What You’ll Learn & Use: How to cut and shape glass How to adhere glass layers How to work with glass powders and stringers Designing with our homemade glass accessories Choosing from hundreds of colors of opaque and transparent glass Using straight and curly/wavy glass stringers Adding our handmade glass dots, lace, and murinni Optional lesson: creating a medley of glass flowers for your design Once class is over, we’ll carefully take your project back to our studio to fire in the kiln. We’ll then string your chimes together and hang them from heavy-duty decorative chain for a polished finish. Your completed wind chime will be ready in about 3 weeks. Pickup will be available either at our Vestal studio or by arrangement at the J. Ralph Ingalls Building in Maine. We’ll email you when your piece is ready for collection.
