🐝🐞✨ Glass Fused Bee & Ladybug Garden Stake Workshop + FREE Drink! ✨🐞🐝 Join us on Monday, August 17th at 6:00 PM at Waterman’s Cafe & Tasting Barn, 6172 NY-434, Apalachin, NY 13732, for a fun evening creating your own Glass Fused Bee or Ladybug Garden Stake! Your first drink is included with registration! 🍷 Choose either a Bee or Ladybug project and then select your base glass. Bee makers can choose a clear base or upgrade to a yellow base, while Ladybug makers can choose a clear base or upgrade to a red base. The yellow and red bases are perfect for those who want a traditional bee or ladybug. If you’d rather let your imagination run wild, choose the clear base and create a unique artistic design! Your bee or ladybug will arrive pre-cut and pre-fired, with the wings, body, and head already fused into one solid piece, giving you the perfect canvas to decorate. You’ll learn how to work with fused glass while using our massive selection of materials, including curly and straight glass stringers made in our studio, glass powders, frit, glass dots, glass lace, murrini flowers, marbles, transparent and opaque glass colors, and more. We’ll teach you how to layer different glass mediums to create incredible melted effects in the kiln. For those choosing a clear base, we’ll have a huge surplus of yellow and red stringers, marbles, frit, lace, dots, murrini, and decorative accents available so you can create a colorful bee or ladybug while still enjoying the freedom of a clear glass canvas. This class is great for kids, families, beginners, and experienced artists alike! No experience is necessary, and our instructors will guide you every step of the way. The event is all-inclusive and wheelchair friendly. Your finished piece will be mounted on a beautiful 2-foot garden stake. If you prefer a shorter display, a 1-foot stake may be requested at class. All stakes are spray-painted with Rust-Oleum® to help prevent rust and withstand outdoor use. Projects will be ready approximately 3 weeks after class and may be picked up at either Waterman’s Cafe & Tasting Barn or Jablon Studios in Vestal. We will email everyone who registered when projects are ready. ⚠️ No refunds. If you cannot attend, you may complete your project during any of our six weekly open studio sessions at Jablon Studios. Neither venue has safe long-term storage for abandoned projects, so please arrange pickup promptly after notification. Shipping and after-hours pickup may be available upon
