Join us for a Glass Fused Star of David Workshop on Wednesday, December 1st at 6:30 PM Jablon Studios, 2240 Coleman Street, Vestal, NY 13850! In this special holiday class, you’ll create a beautiful 8" round Star of David that can be displayed as a suncatcher or set in an elegant metal tabletop stand. You’ll learn how to work with a wide variety of amazing glass materials—including our handmade curly and straight glass stringers, colorful glass dots, delicate glass lace, vibrant glass powders, and gorgeous glass murrini flowers. We’ll show you how to layer and combine different glass mediums to create stunning, melted effects that bring your Star of David to life! You can decorate both the star and the base circle for a truly custom design. Choose from a clear base circle either 5" or 8": (included in the class fee) or upgrade to a custom-colored 8" circle in transparent or opaque glass for an additional charge. We highly recommend the transparent colors for their beautiful light-catching effect! Please note that custom-colored bases must be ordered a few days in advance so we can have your selection ready for class. We’ll have plenty of pre-cut glass strips available in many colors, plus a strip cutter if you’d like to cut your own. Our experienced instructors will guide you step-by-step—no experience necessary! This is a great class for kids and families, and everyone will leave feeling proud of their creation. After class, we’ll fire your piece in our kiln to perfection. It will be ready for pickup within two weeks or sooner at Jablon Studios. If you’d like to display your finished piece in a metal tabletop stand, they are available for an additional $30, payable at class. Please note: no refunds, but if you can’t attend, you’re welcome to complete your project during any of our six open studio sessions per week.
