❤️ No-School Special: Scrap Glass Hearts ❤️ Presidents Day – Monday, February 16, 2026 🕥 10:30 AM 📍 Jablon Studios 2240 Coleman St, Vestal, NY 13850 Celebrate the day off from school with a creative morning at Jablon Studios! In this special no-school session, participants will create a one-of-a-kind fused glass heart using our favorite materials—scrap glass treasures. Each artist will start with a piece of kiln paper with a heart drawn on it. They can fill the heart completely with clear scrap glass to create the base shape—or design any shape they’d like. A second layer will be added using colorful scrap glass, where they’ll hunt for hidden gems like glass dots, stringers, flower murrini, lace, and other surprises. For an extra touch, artists may add glass powders to the top layer if they choose. Finished pieces will be fired in the kiln with a hook attached and strung, ready to hang. All projects will be kiln-fired after the class. Parents will be notified by mass email when pieces are ready for pickup (typically 1–3 weeks) and can be collected during open studio hours. 👨‍👩‍👧 Parents are welcome to participate and make a project as well! 👶 Children under 8 may not be able to safely use glass nippers and will need parent assistance. 🦺 Safety goggles will be provided but are not mandated. 🐾 Please note: we do have two friendly studio cats. 🪑 There are only 30 chairs, so carpooling is encouraged. Parents should expect standing room only if staying. 🚫 Due to space limitations, please do not bring additional children who are not registered to make a project. No-school sessions always sell out, and space is tight. A fun, relaxed, and creative way to spend Presidents Day—full of sparkle, surprises, and scrap-glass magic! ✨💕
